Lease2OwnAmerica™ prepares the home pre-move-in to ensure the home is safe and habitable – for example, roofing, HVAC, foundation, plumbing, electrical systems, etc. The Tenant/Buyer is responsible for general upkeep, regular maintenance and repairs of the property (disposing of leaf clutter, cleaning gutters, etc.). If a situation occurs outside of the Agreement, the Tenant/Buyer should contact Lease2OwnAmerica™ with a formal work order before arranging for a contractor to complete respective repairs.
Lease2OwnAmerica™ does not cover any cosmetic repairs, including but not limited to painting, carpeting, landscaping, or appliances once the Tenant/Buyer is ‘in program’. We also will not fund repairs required as a result of any intentional or negligent damage, destruction, or misuse of the home by the Tenant/Buyer, guests and/or visitors.
You can reach out to Lease2OwnAmerica™ directly in the event of any time-sensitive or critical maintenance issues (for example, an active leak or faulty HVAC), and you should immediately contact your local utility provider in the event of a dangerous or harmful issues (for example, a gas leak or downed power lines).
